The Complete English Tradesman
Published in Paperback by Sutton Publishing (February, 1989)
Author: Daniel Defoe
Average review score:

Timeless guide to business practicalities
Defoe wrote this in the late 1700s, and it was revised in the early 1800s, with comical footnotes about how those antiquated business practices had now been modernized! Defoe was involved in various mercantile ventures, and wrote from hard earned experience, providing a bona fide textbook of business strategy and negotiating practices that is still very cogent today. I'd highly recommend this book to young people entering the business world, but alas it's out of print, and thus impractical to obtain.

The Complete Nutritional Supplements Buyer's Guide
Published in Paperback by Three Rivers Press (27 June, 2000)
Author: Daniel Gastelu
Average review score:

Outstanding, Original and Fabulously Useful!
There are many nutrition books, and food count books on the market with lots of great information about which nutrients are found in which foods. Many of these books also provide information and suggestions regarding nutritional supplementation. While I have found these book immeasurably informative, many times (I think) it is easy to get bogged down, trying to distill information from such a broadly based type of presentation ... especially if you are looking for information on supplements to treat or support a specific condition, or health related issue.

What makes this book a standout (for me) is the way it is formatted. Supplements are presented in categories addressing particular points of focus. For example (just a few of the many) target concerns for supplementation include "Joint and Bone Health", "Vision Supplements", "Immune System Stimulation" etc. Information addressing each specific concern is presented in simple, well organized charts which I found to be hugely useful. In addition, this book presents information on each separate supplement in an easy to read format which is detailed enough to give a good overview .... but no so much information that it becomes a chore.

Extensively referenced, this very well written and originally formatted book is a genuine pleasure to read. By far the most well organized and "to the point" (general) supplement book I have read to date. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Composite Materials: Design and Applications
Published in Hardcover by CRC Press (25 November, 2002)
Authors: Daniel Gay, Y. Koby Cohen, Stephen W. Tsai, and Suong Van Hoa
Average review score:

Excellent Resourch for Students and Working Engineers
This book an excellent source of information regarding composite manufacturing, design and analysis. I used it in a graduate-level composites course and have continued to use it in my daily work as an engineer at Boeing. The book was well thought out and you can't really tell it was translated from French (I was reluctant about that before I bought it). I'd highly reccommend this book for anyone wanting to learn more about composite materials. This book has something for everyone: designer, analyst, project manager, etc.

Compositions of Quadratic Forms (De Gruyter Expositions in Mathematics, 33)
Published in Hardcover by Walter de Gruyter, Inc. (July, 2000)
Author: Daniel B. Shapiro
Average review score:

i'm the first
well,i thought it was both enlightening and at the same time educational-a rare quality in todays hyperbole-filled books. Well reasearched and documented, i thought the author did a splendid job of portraying the real side of Quadratic forms while delving into the theoretical captured beautifully in a form fitting for accolades and deserves recognition as a book truuly beyond its time, while at the same time captured the pulse of the mathmatical community, in a language for everyone, revealing the depth and cunning of the authors new- age style. It definitely awnsered all my questions on the complexities of Quadratic forms and even addressed some i didn't even know i had.

Computer Battlegames
Published in Paperback by E D C Publications (January, 1983)
Author: Daniel and Tyler, Jenny Isaamam
Average review score:

Essential for people with z80's
What do you mean that the z80 disappeared before you were born? I was weaned on 8088's and z9\80's. Anyway this is an easy to follow basic (by the line numbers.) book. Let's see if you can convert it to C? Or pick your platform. This is a hardback book from a time of paperback books. The contents show 47 games. Most of them are different versions of Missile for various hardware platforms. Good for it's time. Fun for this time.
